Job Description
- Ensure scholars' health and safety by adhering to health and safety protocols while aiding in maintaining a secure and organized classroom atmosphere.
- Provide comprehensive classroom support by managing bulletin boards, tracking attendance, administering assignments, preparing classroom materials, organizing resources, managing scholars' portfolios, upholding classroom policies and rules.
- Provide comprehensive classroom support, including bulletin board management, attendance tracking, assignment distribution and collection, preparation of classroom materials, organization of resources, management of scholars' portfolios, etc.
- Provide comprehensive supervision for scholars both inside and outside the classroom, including monitoring various areas such as hallways, lunchtime, playgrounds, and dismissal, overseeing scholars during field trips, and communication.
- Offer comprehensive instructional support including substituting, assessing work, facilitating instruction, supervising study, aiding in delivery and management, monitoring progress, collaborating with teachers, and fostering personal development.
- Engage with community in after-school activities & open communication.
- Offer After School Activity (1week)
- Supervision duties will be assigned also.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Education/Teaching/Training or similar fields.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum of Two Years working (or more) working with diverse scholar populations is a preference
- English language: Fluency in English is essential - Arabic is a plus
- Knowledge of basic child guidance principles.
- Knowledge of child development
- Understanding how children learn and grow is essential for an elementary teaching assistant.
- Classroom management skills: Be able to maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Instructional skills: Be able to assist with the preparation of materials and resources and to support individual and small group instruction.
- Communication skills: Be able to effectively communicate with scholars, teachers, and parents and work closely with the teacher to adapt instruction to meet the needs of individual scholars.
- Flexibility and adaptability: Be able to adapt to different teaching styles and strategies and be willing to learn and grow professionally.
- Child Safety: Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Technology skills: Strong knowledge of technology and the ability to integrate technology into instruction is preferred.
- Applicants from international schools will have an advantage.
