Job Description
- User Support: provide first-level technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
- Hardware Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers and peripheral devices.
- Software Management: Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications, operating systems, and drivers.
- Network Support: Assist in configuring and maintaining the local area network (LAN) and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
- Security: Implement and enforce security protocols, including antivirus software, firewalls, and data encryption, to safeguard company data and systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, support tickets, and system configurations.
- Remote Support: Provide remote support to off-site employees and remote offices, ensuring consistent IT services.
- Upgrades and Installations: Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades, including system installations, patches, and updates.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical data and ensure business continuity.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers to coordinate hardware repairs, maintenence, and software licensing.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for employees to enhance their IT proficiency and awareness of cybersecurity best practices.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Computer Science/Information technology or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven experience working as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with network technologies and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
