Job Description
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
- Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
- Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
- Achieve assigned sales quota in designated strategic accounts. Meet assigned expectations for profitability.
- Achieve strategic customer objectives defined by company management. Complete strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
- Maintain customer information within the dealerships CRM system. Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
- Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
- Enlist the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.
- Closely coordinate company executive involvement with customer management.
- Duties include measurable strategic planning, implementing tactics, executing programs, managing relationships at various levels within a company
- Must communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer, and customer audiences to ensure strategic and tactical alignment with these National Accounts.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Business Studies/Administration/Management; Commerce; Engineering(Mechanical); Sales & Marketing or similar fields.
- Requires very strong communication and interpersonal skills; high attention to detail critical; public speaking skills; comprehension of complex verbal and written instructions; working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel,
- Outlook) and Web browsers; requires a relatively high degree of interpersonal skills to develop relationships with individuals at various levels within the customers organization, including key executives and other stakeholders.
- Must have a good understanding of Caterpillar and the dealer organization so as to affectively develop and communicate business opportunities and challenges.
- Must have a good understanding of the Caterpillar product line and the product support business. Be a value creator, not just a value communicator.
- College or technical degree preferred; however, at a minimum a high school diploma or equivalent; or three to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Technical English language skills required. Ability to write routine reports and effective correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent English skills (both verbal and written)
