Job Description
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications of tools, dies, prototypes or models
- Prepare templates and sketches, and determine work processes
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools
- Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or casting to lay out for machining
- Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier’s, calipers, micrometers, co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM) and electronic measuring devices
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or similar fields.
- Must have minimum 3 years of experience in flat die making for the printing press industry
- Have experience in both flat die and rotary die. Flat die making skill is required
- Candidates must have Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate
- Experience with rotary die making for the printing press is preferred but not required
