Job Description
- Manage the entire process of the supply chain from purchase, storage, distribution and display.
- Dictate policies on inventory control, logistics and distribution, ensuring effectively-functioning processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities
- Prepare and implement plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost
- Operate recording systems to track all movements of inventory, ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times
- Liaise with suppliers to arrange promotions & strategize to move slow moving stock via promotions & marketing ideas, to ensure all stock procured are moving and sold
- Implement strategic procurement including sourcing strategy, supplier selection and evaluation, price & quality management.
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and contractors that facilitate smooth flow of goods and services.
- Monitor and review storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements, control stock levels and life-cycle/shelf-life of stock.
- Identifies trends, obtains customer feedback, obtains competitor product and pricing information in order to improve product range in category
- Create products in inventory database, ensuring descriptions, packaging, department, categories and pricing is updated according to company guidelines
- Ensure effective lines of communication between the Procurement team, Sales team and Warehouse team to ensure priority requirements, timely delivery of goods
- Ensure all stock and equipment held by the branches are stored safely, correctly and securely depending on item classifications.
- Visit branches/warehouse on a regular basis with the aim of monitoring stock levels, display and performance of assigned product departments
- Organize and deliver trainings for operations/procurement personnel on procurement, supply chain, logistics, assets management and synthesize lessons learned and best practices
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Business Studies/Administration/Management or similar fields.
- Minimum 3 years retail management, back-office system administration or related experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills, strong ability to multi-task, follow-up and manage competing priorities independently
- Passion for problem solving and ability to navigate ambiguous situations
- Trendy- able to identify new trends in the market and set the market pace
- Ability to work flexible flexible schedule during weekdays and weekends as dictated by business needs
Additional Information:
- The Procurement & Distribution Manager take a leadership role in executing effective procurement & distribution services, ensuring inventory is purchased in a timely manner, inventory is well distributed to stores, ensure the sales of procured stock.
