Job Description
- work with molten glass (from a furnace) and a blowing iron to form the glass into a rough shape. and know how to inspect the glass for defects and cutting it accordingly before it is blown into a shape
- knows how to mix ingredients such as sodium carbonate, sulfur, and limestone to create glass formulas for different types of applicantions.
- Knows to blow glass into desired shapes using specialized tools such as blowpipes, punchers, and marvers
- inspect the quality of the finished product for defects such as scratches or bubbles, in order to determine whether it can be sold or much be remelted.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- must be able to speak good english
