The client has been part of the NSW home building community for half a century. They are currently looking for top calibre Brick Layers to join their construction team.

Essential:

• Able to read and interpret plans and drawings for what they are about to build.
• Can calculate the needed materials, determine the best construction method and set a schedule for completion.
• Can cut and prepare bricks, lay out patterns and foundations, mix and spread mortar, and lay the bricks.
• Able to make sure that structures are level, clean excess mortar with trowels, and clean and polish all new surfaces.
• Good in embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar
• Excellent in checking vertical and horizontal alignmentable to repeatedly mix mortar in the correct and same proportions especially when oxide is included.able to bed and preps uniformly and within tolerances.

 

Qualifications and Experience

• You will have at least 3 years’ experience in Brick Laying for home structures. Current driver’s license or equivalent

Working Conditions:

• The successful applicant will be reporting to the Leading Hand or Supervisor.
• Candidate will be working in NSW
