The incumbent will be responsible to supervise a team of Non Destructive Technicians assigned to carry out a variety of NDT testing examinations, lifting equipment inspection, welding inspection and other inspection activities. Ensuring that the plant equipment (stationary) and its accessories are reliable and safe for the production services for the specified period by the implementation of approved inspection practices as outlined in various international codes. Liaise with external inspections in order to carry out specialized NDT inspection on Qafco equipment. Evaluating and approve all NDT reports, and report all irregularities to superiors for analysis and action. The incumbent should ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with QAFCO Occupational Health, Quality, and Safety and Environment procedures. A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University followed by a minimum 7 years direct and relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Fertilizer or Petrochemical Industries. Knowledge of international Codes and Practices on Material, Welding, Risk Based Inspection and NDT (MP, DP, RT, UT, ET) is a must. The candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English, operate standard PC Applications and have good Technical Report Writing Skills. Certification in API 510 and 570 is desirable.
