- MARINA says seafarers holding a valid Basic Training (BT) Certificate of Proficiency can still board vessels without immediately taking the Updating Basic Training–Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (BT?PSSR).
- The requirement to undergo BT?PSSR applies before a seafarer’s next embarkation or before revalidating their BT, not right after disembarkation or during vacation.
- New seafarers still must complete BT?PSSR (or the updated BT course) before their first boarding, and confusion over timing prompted the clarification.
3. HOME AT LAST: A thanksgiving and gathering for the Filipino seafarers of M/V Eternity C. - (OWWA)
