Job Description
- fabricating, installing, and repairing high-pressure piping, wellheads, and heavy equipment used in extreme-temperature geothermal power plants
- Perform high-pressure, multi-position pipe welding (primarily 6G) using processes like SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW to join various metals (carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-alloy)
- Execute critical welds on geothermal well casings, steam gathering lines, and heat exchangers, maintaining near-perfect pass rates on non-destructive tests (NDT) such as X-ray and ultrasonic inspections
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, isometric blueprints, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to plan layouts and ensure structural integrity
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- WELDING CERTIFICATE ALL POSITION (CLASS 5) plus with DRILLMEC AND GEOTHERMAL
