Job Description
- Perform milking operations, including udder cleaning, disinfection, and operation of milking equipment.
- Herd and monitor cattle between barns and milking parlors, ensuring animals return to their designated groups.
- Feed and water calves, prepare milk replacers, and maintain feeding equipment.
- Clean and disinfect calf pens, cages, buckets, and bedding areas.
- Remove manure, maintain straw bedding, and keep animal housing clean and sanitary.
- Clean milking parlors, dairy equipment, and milk storage facilities after each use.
- Maintain farm yards, feed storage areas, silos, and granaries by removing waste and spoiled feed.
- Assist in handling, organizing, and transporting feed, disinfectants, and farm supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of offices, dining areas, changing rooms, and other farm facilities.
- Follow farm safety, animal welfare, hygiene, and biosecurity standards at all times.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Experience in animal care, dairy farming, livestock handling, or agricultural work.
- Willing to work in farm environments, including exposure to animals, manure, and outdoor conditions.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and move heavy materials and equipment.
- Knowledge of animal welfare and farm hygiene practices is preferred.
- Responsible, hardworking, and able to follow instructions and established procedures.
