Job Description
- Responsible for carrying out the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements
- To perform routine inspections, servicing, and corrective maintenance of heavy vehicles, including trucks, lorries, and construction machinery
- To diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
- To carry out the repair and replacement of defective components such as engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems, and other related parts
- To service and maintain diesel engines, fuel injection systems, and associated components
- To conduct safety inspections and ensure all vehicles are in roadworthy condition incompliance with applicable regulations
- To attend to vehicle breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as and when required
- To maintain proper documentation and records of all maintenance work, repairs, and parts utilized
- To ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety policies and standard operating procedures
- To maintain cleanliness and proper organization of tools, equipment, and the workshop area.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Sound knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and vehicle electrical systems
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
- Physically fit and capable of handling demanding mechanical tasks
