Job Description
- Prepares a wide range of baked goods and desserts such as breads, cakes, pastries, tarts, and plated desserts according to standard recipes. Ensures consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Oversees the pastry section or assigned station, ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are properly organized and ready for service. Maintains cleanliness and order at all times.
- Ensures all products meet the required quality standards before serving or display. Checks freshness, proper baking, and visual appeal.
- Follows standardized recipes accurately, including proper measurements, techniques, and baking times to maintain consistency.
- Monitors stock levels of ingredients such as flour, sugar, dairy, and chocolate. Reports shortages and helps in ordering supplies. Minimizes waste through proper storage and portioning.
- Assists in training and guiding junior pastry staff such as Commis Chefs. Ensures they follow kitchen procedures and hygiene standards.
- Maintains strict adherence to food safety standards, sanitation, and cleanliness in compliance with kitchen regulations.
- Collaborates with the Head Pastry Chef or Executive Chef in developing new dessert items or improving existing recipes.
- Ensures all pastry items are prepared on time, especially during busy service periods or special events.
- Uses and maintains bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers properly and safely.

- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
