Job Description
- • Maintenance and repair of civil construction plant and equipment
- • Servicing of trucks, machinery, and light vehicles
- • Preventive maintenance scheduling
- • Breakdown response and repairs and Workshop staff supervision
- • Spare parts management and inventory coordination
- • Workshop safety and housekeeping
- • Supervise daily workshop activities including servicing, repairs, and maintenance of plant and vehicles.
- • Allocate work tasks to mechanics and workshop staff based on operational priorities.
- • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are developed and followed for all equipment
- • Diagnose mechanical faults and coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- • Ensure all machinery, vehicles, and equipment are maintained according to manufacturer specifications.
- • Maintain accurate workshop records including service logs, maintenance records, and repair reports.
- • Coordinate with the Branch Manager regarding plant availability and equipment deployment.
- • Monitor equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring issues.
- • Ensure spare parts, tools, and workshop consumables are properly managed and accounted for.
- • Maintain a safe workshop environment in compliance with company HSEQ procedures
- • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- • Ensure proper storage and management of tools, equipment, and workshop materials.
- • Provide technical guidance and supervision to mechanics, apprentices, and workshop staff
- • Support operational teams by ensuring timely repair and servicing of equipment required for projects.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Civil); Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
- • Trade qualification in Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, or Automotive Engineering.
- • Minimum 5 years experience in plant maintenance, heavy equipment repairs, or construction machinery servicing
- • Experience working with civil construction equipment such as excavators, graders, loaders, dump trucks, and crushers
- • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- • Knowledge of heavy plant maintenance and repair procedures
- • Ability to supervise and coordinate workshop staff.
- • Understanding of workshop safety procedures and operational compliance
- • Good organizational and record-keeping skills
