Job Description
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement and reports in accordance with IFRS.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Maintain general ledger integrity by ensuring accurate financial entries.
- Assist the team by providing accurate financial assessment for the top-level management to help in decision making.
- Coordinate with the management and uphold the standard laws and regulations for monitoring, updating, and maintaining fiscal activities.
- Leading the financial closing activity on a monthly and annual basis.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure deadlines are met with high accuracy.
- Perform and review reconciliations for bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other key accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Implementing accounting policies and process improvements to strengthen internal control.
- Supporting audit and tax filings by providing accurate transactions and balances of the company.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations.
- With strong leadership skills by coaching, guiding and supervising junior accountants. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Business Studies/Administration/Management; Finance/Accountancy/Banking; Mass Communications or similar fields.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting. Post graduate degree and/or Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA or CA will be a requirement.
- Minimum experience of 5 years in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and such. Experience in trading sector is a plus.
- Proficient User of Microsoft Office – MS-Word, MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Access (Advanced Excel skills – Power BI, Dashboards, Macros, VBA will be a plus).
- ERP Knowledge: Proficient user of any ERP system (Preferable SAP B1).
- Stakeholders management (has an experience communicating with all levels in the organization).
- Strong communication skills with good command in English (Both writing & speaking).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Good motivational skills for self and staff.
- Strong Decision making ability in Ad hoc situations.
- Knowledge in process redesign and improvements.
- Self-motivated, flexible and possess positive attitude with high degree of integrity & transparency.
- Very keen to details and has good accuracy for the tasks handled.
- Multi-tasking and work independently in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
