Job Description
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Welder / Fabricator (LT1 / HT3)
- Responsible for cutting, shaping, and joining metal components to fabricate, repair, or assemble structures, machinery, and equipment
- Work from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions to create finished products from raw metal stock, often utilizing MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding.
- Cut, bend, and shape metal materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) using saws, shears, plasma cutters, and grinders. Align components using jigs, fixtures, and clamps, and apply tack welds to secure parts before final welding..
- Perform high-quality welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) to create strong, clean joints.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine project requirements, material measurements, and assembly sequences.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
