Job Description
- Provide medications, fluids, blood products, and nutritional therapies via intravenous lines, ports, or central catheters according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Assess patients’ health status, review medical histories, and conduct physical assessments to ensure eligibility for IV therapy.
- Provide information and emotional support to patients and their families, explaining procedures, anticipated outcomes, and potential side effects.
- Ensure all infusion equipment—from pumps to IV lines—functions properly, troubleshoot any issues, and maintain sterile conditions.
- Accurate and timely record-keeping is essential. IV nurses document all aspects of infusion therapy, including patient assessments, administered medications, and observed reactions.
- Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
- With or Without Data verification
- 3+ years of experience as a RN in the required unit/department
- Must have Nursing Specialist registration in the Saudi Council
