Job Description
- Inspecting the workplace, clearing obstructions and preparing materials and equipment.
- Studying blueprints and planning pipe systems and related equipment installations.
- Using a variety of tools to modify pipes to specifications.
- Clearing pipe systems of obstructions and testing their functionality.
- Repairing and maintaining pipe systems, supports, and related equipment.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- Must have the ability to work independently using and reading isometric drawings and piping schematics to assemble, install and maintain piping systems.
- Must be competent & proficient in using pipe fitting tools and equipment.
- Must be cut, measure and prepare pipes and fittings to required specifications using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Must be competent in the fitment and assembly of piping components accurately to ensure a secure and leak proof system.
- Must be keen on collaborating with welders and other team members to align and secure pipes for welding or further assembly.
- Must be competent in performing quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Must be willing to work in various environments, including workshops and industrial facilities such as refineries.
- Strong knowledge and adherence to company safety standards and policies.
