Job Description
- Preparing fields and planting seeds and crops
- Inspecting crops to monitor the growing process and spot symptoms of pests, fungi and diseases
- Picking ripened crops by hand or with the assistance of machines
- Operating tractors, threshers, spreaders and other types of equipment
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- Must be competent in preparing the fields and planting seeds and crops.
- Must be knowledgeable in maintaining and repairing irrigation systems to keep crops watered.
- Must be knowledgeable in mixing & applying pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers.
- Must be keen on pulling weeds that may interfere with crop development.
- Must be competent in inspecting crops to monitor the growing process and spot symptoms of pests, fungi and diseases.
- Must be competent in picking ripened crops by hand or with machine operation.
- Strong ability to operate tractors, threshers, spreaders and other types of farming equipment.
- Must be competent in cleaning and maintaining farm tools and equipment.
- Must willing to work in the field during the summer season and assist in olive oil production procedures at the factory including filling olive oil into tins/containers at the factory during the winter season.
