Job Description
- Perform minor and major repairs on lorries and trailers
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service lorries, including inspection, tyre rotation and oil changes
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
- Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- Must have a Vocational Course Diploma or related Training Certificates
- Should be knowledgeable in the fundamentals of Heavy Vehicle technologies i.e. chassis design, engine, fuels, transmission, electrical (12/24V), air conditioning, hydraulic, and air braking, air suspension systems, etc.
- Competent in the fault diagnosis and repair on braking system, suspension, gearboxes, engines, etc.
- Competent in the disassembly and reassembling of engines, motors, conducting tests, adjusts and tunes the appropriate parts.
- Competent in the conduct of regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations, on a wide range of HGV vehicles & other equipment.
- Competent in the repair and maintenance of European Brand Trucks (i.e. Volvo, Daimler, DAF, Volkswagen, Renault, Scania, Man).
- Competent in carrying out basic tasks with tools and equipment parts replacement, electrical repair of electronic circuitry and components
- Must be competent in visual checks, test driving or using test equipment for proper diagnosis.
- Competent in testing vehicles using diagnostic equipment and their own expertise to identify and troubleshoot problems to ensure road worthiness
