Job Description
- Operate and maintain various kitchen equipment, such as mixers, ovens, candy thermometers, chocolate tempering machines, and decorating tools.
- Prepare batters, doughs, fillings, icings, and other components of confections.
- Cook sugar, temper chocolate, and create various candy bases.
- Bake, mold, shape, and decorate a wide array of sweet goods.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- Applicants should have a TESDA NCII Training Certificate or Trade Test Certificate in Bread & Pastry Production.
- Must be competent in creating and preparing sweets to include various types of candies, chocolates and other confectionary items.
- Must be competent in using machinery and hand-crafted techniques to prepare their creations.
- Must be competent in preparing sugar paste (icing) and other confections for decorating cakes and complementing other baked goods.
- Must have basic knowledge of confectionary (Merengue production, etc.)
- Must be knowledgeable in quality control, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and are presented aesthetically specifically in cake decorations.
- Must be competent in the creation of figures (flowers, etc.)
- Must be competent in ingredient management, properly storing and using ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
- Must follow recipe standards and be knowledgeable in recipe development of new confectionary products.
- Must ensure adherence to health & safety rules in accordance with the quality standards applied by the company.
