Job Description
- Perform mechanical fitting, installation, alignment, and maintenance of industrial equipment and structures
- Conduct inspections, repairs, and component replacements at height using rope access techniques
- Supervise and lead rope access teams on-site (IRATA Level 3 responsibility)
- Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and rescue plans
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and IRATA guidelines
- Coordinate with project supervisors, engineers, and site teams
- Maintain tools, equipment, and rope access gear in safe working conditions
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Valid IRATA Level 3 certification (mandatory)
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, piping, and structural components
- Ability to lead rope access operations and perform rescues
- Relevant trade qualification or technical certification
- Physically fit and medically cleared for rope access work
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety requirements and safe work practices.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be at least a graduate of a 1-year vocational course or have completed at least 1 year in college
- Experience in oil & gas, mining, power plants, or heavy industry
- Confined Space and Working at Heights certifications. First Aid certification
