Job Description
- Assist the Pastry Chef in planning, coordinating, and supervising all pastry and dessert production. Support daily kitchen operations to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards of all pastry items.
- Supervise and guide pastry cooks, commis, and trainees, providing training and feedback to improve skills and efficiency. Help develop new recipes, seasonal menus, and innovative dessert presentations in collaboration with the Pastry Chef.
- Ensure proper portion control, freshness, and adherence to established recipes. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimize food wastage. Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in the pastry kitchen, in c
- Assist in scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow in the pastry section. Step in to lead the pastry kitchen in the absence of the Pastry Chef. Work closely with other kitchen departments to coordinate timely service, especially f
- Conduct regular quality checks of baked goods, chocolates, confectionery, and plated desserts. Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in excellent working condition.

Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- 5 yrs. progressive experience in pastry and dessert production, with at least 2-3 yrs in supervisory or head pastry
- Expertise in Pastry, Bread, Cakes, Desserts, Chocolate, Sugar Work, and plated Desserts.
