Job Description
- Prepare and serve various types of sushi such as maki, nigiri, sashimi, temaki, and specialty rolls.
- Ensure the freshness, quality, and proper storage of all ingredients, especially seafood.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation according to Japanese culinary standards.
- Cook and season sushi rice properly and maintain accurate rice preparation ratios.
- Prepare accompaniments such as wasabi, sauces, and garnishes.
- Ensure strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the preparation process.
- Maintain the sushi bar area, utensils, and equipment in clean working condition.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate smooth and timely food service.
- Follow all HACCP and sanitation protocols.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sushi Chef in a restaurant or hotel.
- Skilled in fish filleting, sushi rice preparation, and knife handling.
- Knowledge of traditional and modern sushi techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, taste, and presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
- Advance English communication skills.
- Team-oriented, disciplined, and punctual.
