Job Description
- Conduct testing of incoming raw materials including metal coils, paint systems, solvents, and chemical pretreatments.
- Perform paint and coating tests during and after production, Including: o Film thickness o Gloss and color (LlE) o Adhesion (crosshatch, peel)
- Perform paint and coating tests during and after production, Including: o Flexibility (T-bend, cupping, impact) o Chemical resistance (MEK rub, solvent tests) o Salt spray and corrosion resistance o Hardness (pencil, Konig)'
- Ensure all testing is documented clearly and accurately, with full traceability.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure testing is performed in line with EN 13523 standards.
- Collaborate with production and QA teams to identify and resolve coating issues.
- Assist with raw material approvals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Chemistry; Engineering(Chemical); Engineering(Material Science); Science & Technology or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum 4 years of experience In paint/coating laboratory testing is required.
- Familiarity with EN 13523 standards and common coilcoating procedures.
- Proficiency in using spectrophotometers, gloss meters, thickness gauges, adhesion testers, UVA and salt spray chambers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret test results accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to use MS Office for reporting.

- Training and Development: The successful candidate will receive on slte training In mechanical testing of aluminum, including: o Yield strength and tensile strength o Elongation o Hardness testing o Bending, flattening, and surface quality analysis
