Job Description
- Participates in pre-commissioning, commissioning, preservation and start-up of new equipment and facilities.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance work on field instruments as directed in the field and workshop in line with safe work practices.
- Ensure that material and spare parts are available and in good condition before starting maintenance activities as per work plan.
- Ensure applicable maintenance procedures are followed and ensure proper controls are in place to ensure safe workplace.
- Provides accurate records and close-out reports of all completed work as per company requirements, as requested and guided by Foreman/Supervisor.
- Participates in troubleshooting of instrumentation field issues, as directed and guided by Foreman/Supervisor and issue timely reports.
- Reviews the Piping & Instrument Diagram and Drawings (P&IDs), loop drawings, hook-up drawings, instrument index, instrument datasheets, logic diagrams and other documents required to tackle issues related to field instrumentation.
- Participates in regular Toolbox meeting with colleagues and reports all Near Misses, Incidents and Accidents during operation by raising B-Safe or observation cards.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- 3 years’ experience as a technician in the Oil & Gas industry or petrochemical industry.
- Computer literate with basic knowledge in MS Office software.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, and calibration/testing of process control systems including Field, Panel, DCS, PLC’s instruments, vibration measurement, Fire and Gas and ESD systems.
- Valve (Control/ON-OFF/Emergency-Shutdown) stroking or calibration and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings (P&ID’s) and documents.
- Good adaptability to multinational environment with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
- Experience working in H2S environment.
