Job Description
- Excellent analytical skills to manage a large volume of data and compile detailed reports
- Solid knowledge of accounting and accounting principles, laws, and regulations
- Supervise and control all tasks related to the financial and accounting department: general accounting and auxiliaries (customers, suppliers), payroll, bookkeeping, etc.
- Follow-up on the operations processes and the financial health of the company
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the accounting department and the liaison with other departments and subsidiaries
- Ensure the follow-up of banking and accounting operations
- Participate in regular tax audits and payroll management and control
- Prepare budget reports and forecast revenues, expenses, and capital expenditures and ensure the execution
- Manage month-end and year-end closing, and accruals
- Monitor the results of the accounting department and profit/cost centers on a daily basis
- Classify financial data to derive usable information and maintain records
- Monitor the progress of financial and accounting objectives
- Establish accounting policies and procedures in line with company objectives
- Ensure compliance with the law and internal and external regulations
- Define audit plans for the company and its subsidiaries
- Define business financial risks
- Analyze and synthesize financial information relating to the company (accounting, human resources, operation, etc.
- Perform and control the complete audit cycle including risk management and control management regarding the effectiveness of operations, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
- Identify gaps and recommend savings measures
- Maintain open communication with management and the external auditor
- Engage in continuous knowledge of industry rules, regulations, and best practices
- Analyze business processes and key business activities
- Consolidate the financial reports
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven practical experience as an accountant supervisor
- A certification in accounting (e.g. CMA or CPA) is an asset
- Recognized experience in Internal Audit or Auditing Principles
- 5 year experience as Chief Accountant/ Audit/Finance (Preferable GCC).
