Job Description
- This may include tasks like inspecting the quality of mushrooms, managing inventory, implementing effective cultivation practices, and ensuring health and safety standards.
- Preparing and managing the growing substrate, which can include materials like straw, wood chips, or other organic matter.
- Inoculating the substrate with mushroom spores (spawning) and covering it with a casing layer (casing) to promote growth.
- Maintaining optimal conditions for mushroom development, including temperature, humidity, and ventilation.
- Picking mushrooms at their peak ripeness and handling them carefully to avoid damage.
- Inspecting mushrooms for quality, size, and appearance to ensure they meet standards for sale or processing.
- Understanding the different types of mushrooms, their growth requirements, and best practices for cultivation.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Mechanical); Engineering(Others) or similar fields.
- Observing and recognizing signs of health and disease in mushrooms, and taking appropriate action.
- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy bags of substrate or working in a controlled environment.
- Understanding and following safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
