Job Description
- Guest Service: Greet guests warmly and provide assistance as needed. Take and deliver food and drink orders accurately. Ensure that guests’ needs are met promptly and professionally. Respond to customer complaints or concerns professionally.
- Menu Knowledge: Be knowledgeable about the hotel’s menu offerings, specials, and any dietary restrictions or preferences. Provide recommendations and explain dishes to guests as required.
- Order Management: Input orders accurately into the point-of-sale (POS) system. Ensure that orders are prepared and delivered according to guest specifications.
- Food and Beverage Delivery: Serve food and beverages to guests at tables, ensuring proper presentation. Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction.
- Cleaning and Setup: Set up tables, ensuring they are clean, well-organized, and properly arranged. Clean tables and remove dirty dishes as guests finish their meals. Replenish condiments, napkins, and drink refills as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work with kitchen staff, other waitstaff, and management to ensure smooth service. Assist colleagues during busy periods to ensure efficient operations.
- Payment Handling: Present checks to guests and process payments, including cash, credit cards, or room charges.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained. Follow all hotel procedures regarding food handling and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management; Hospitality/Tourism Management or similar fields.
