Job Description
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Ensure all ingredients are prepared according to specifications and are fresh for daily use.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas.
- Follow the daily prep lists and ensure all tasks are completed on time.
- Assist in plating and presenting dishes to meet restaurant standards.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and maintained.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings and training sessions.
- Help with stock rotation to minimize waste.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management or similar fields.
Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen position (e.g., Commis 2, Kitchen Assistant) is preferred but not essential.
- Strong passion for cooking and learning new culinary skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and take direction.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
