Job Description
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and the overall kitchen environment to maintain a safe and hygienic space for food preparation.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Assist with food preparation as needed.
- Maintain a safe, hygienic work environment by following sanitation procedures.
- Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and dispose of them properly.
- Assist in inventory management of cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist kitchen staff with additional tasks as required.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management; Hospitality/Tourism Management or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or in a similar cleaning/maintenance role preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety procedures is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
