Job Description
- Responsible for developing, qualifying and approving NDT procedures, interpreting complex test results, overseeing Level I and II Technicians, and ensuring the overall quality and integrity of NDT operations within a company or project
- Requiring extensive theoretical knowledge, practical experience across various NDT methods, and the ability to interpret codes and standards relevant to the industry
- Train and qualify Level I and Level II NDT technicians on proper techniques, equipment operation, and interpretation of test results, ensuring they maintain required certifications
- Provide technical guidance on complex NDT issues, intertpret intricate results and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Oversee the quality control aspects of NDT activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency in test reports, calibration procedures, and data analysis.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Mechanical); Engineering(Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Certified ASNT Level III in RT, UT and MT;Must hold a valid Level III certification in the specific NDT method(s) required by the company (e.g., ultrasonic, radiography, magnetic particle) from a recognized certification body like ASNT
- With Minimum 5 yrs Experience in Pipe mill or similar industry in NDT Field
- Deep understanding of NDT principles, physics, and relevant industry standards, (ASME, ASTM, etc) including the ability to interpret complex test data.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor Level I and II technicians, manage teams, and delegate tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey technical information to diverse audiences
- -Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex NDT issues, troubleshoot equipment problems, and make sound technical decisions.
