Job Description
- To oversee the manufacturing operations in our Production Supervisor – Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding (LSAW) line Pipe Manufacturer
- Responsible for managing daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.
- The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in forming, finishing and welding, and experience in pipe manufacturing/similar industry.
- Supervise and coordinate production activities to ensure efficiency and quality standards.
- Monitor daily operations and production schedules to meet targets and deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Lead and train production shop floor employees to improve performance and maintain a high level of productivity
- Troubleshoot machinery, production, and quality issues, coordinating with maintenance teams when necessary
- Optimize production processes to minimize waste and improve cost efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, particularly in line pipe manufacturing (API, ASTM, ASME, etc.).
- Maintain accurate production reports and documentation
- Work closely with quality control, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance plant efficiency and output.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Industrial); Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a steel manufacturing plant, preferably in Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding (LSAW) Line pipe production
- Strong knowledge of steel pipe production processes, welding techniques, and troubleshooting procedures
- Experience in operating and managing heavy machinery used in pipe manufacturing.
- Familiarity with API, ASTM, and ASME standards is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in using production planning and ERP software.
- Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus).
