Job Description
- Responsible for calculating the total cost of a mechanical project, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and other mechanical installations, by analyzing project plans, specifications, and material costs.
- Ensure a project is completed within budget and on schedule, often collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather accurate estimates and source subcontractors.
- Analyzing blueprints, specifications, and design documents to understand the scope of mechanical work required.
- Performing detailed calculations to determine the exact quantities of materials needed for the project, including pipes, fittings, equipment, and labor hours.
- Researching and obtaining pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, labor, and equipment to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Creating comprehensive cost breakdowns, including material costs, labor costs, overhead expenses, and contingency allowances.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry,
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimation software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
