Job Description
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes within your assigned section (e.g., grill, pastry, saucing, fish, or vegetable).
- Assist in the preparation of menus, daily specials, and creative dishes to delight our guests.
- Manage and maintain the section's kitchen equipment, utensils, and ingredients, ensuring everything is functioning properly.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff and ensure they adhere to food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in developing new recipes and maintaining consistent food standards.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels and work with the kitchen team to minimize waste.
- Ensure food is plated and presented to the highest standards in line with the restaurant’s concept.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene practices.
- Assist in maintaining a positive, cohesive team environment in the kitchen.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management or similar fields.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume, professional kitchen.
- A strong understanding of kitchen operations and excellent culinary skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for food and creative cooking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
