Job Description
- • Research current fashion trends and brainstorm ideas for new products based on research data. • Suggest the best fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures for each design.
- • Lead and participate in fitting sessions to assess garment fit, drape, and overall aesthetics, collaborate with patternmakers to make necessary adjustments to garment patterns based on fitting feedback.
- • Work closely with the design and sourcing teams to select appropriate fabrics that complement the design aesthetic and offer the necessary drape and stretch. Stay abreast of industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to garment construct
- • Effectively communicate fitting feedback and alterations to the design, patternmaking, and production teams. Maintain rigorous quality standards throughout the fitting process.
- • Review products for style and fit during presentation. Coordinate closely with the Vice President to ensure that both standards are met and designs are approved as per expectations.
- • Develop and review Pre-Production (PP) samples to ensure they accurately reflect the design vision and meet quality standards.
- Use PP samples to validate design choices, including materials, fit, and functionality, making necessary adjustments before mass production.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Textile/Fashion Design & Production or similar fields.
- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer specializing in fittings, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and fit principles. Skills in using Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be willing to travel to China to carry out job responsibilities.
