Job Description
- Responsible for visual, basic NDT (Tickness Measurement), dimension, surface and weld inspection of steel pipe in accordance with developed criteria (MPS,ITP, checklists, process card etc)
- Responsible for shunting and marking of qualified and unqualified products
- Responsible to prepare timely QC reports after inspection and maintain records.
- Keep measuring instrument in good condition, responsible to monitor validity of calibration of measuring instruments.
- Responsible for housekeeping of his station
- Responsible of safe operation of inspection activity
- Responsible to do inspection to clients; Responsible to report any non-conformance.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Electrical/Electronic); Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Experience in Pipe Manufacturing and Steel Industry is preferably.
- Familiar with inspection requirement of in process visual, dimensional, and process control inspection, quality control of products.
- Familiar with QC testing equipment and tools; Knowledge of basic NDT.
- With NDT Experience and have recently issued NDT certifications and currently NDT practicing as well as current or recent welding experience and welding certifications.
- Trained to detect and evaluate surface imperfections; With CSWIP 3.1, VT Level II or equivalent Certification
- Knowledge in Arabic and Chinese is an advantage.
