Job Description
- Perform complex maintenance, servicing, repair, and troubleshooting of elevators and related machinery.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections of elevators on a scheduled basis to ensure effective and efficient operation, and compliance with safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
- Investigate problems of electric, mechanical, and/or hydraulic nature, determining issues and making necessary repairs
- Perform annual tests to ensure proper operation of safety devices
- Assist in determining the suitability of present elevator equipment, proposed modifications, and new equipment.
- Work in various environments, including dusty and dirty places such as elevator shafts and pits, where temperatures may exceed One Hundred degrees, and equipment may be oily and greasy.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
- Experience with Elevator installation and maintenance.
- Basic math skills to complete job tasks.
- Prior experience assembling electrical or similar products preferred.
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
