Job Description
- Prepare patients: Reassure patients who are nervous or afraid of needles, and explain the blood draw process
- Collect blood: Draw blood from patients or donors, using the correct tools and amounts
- Label samples: Label the blood samples for testing or processing
- Store samples: Store the blood samples in the correct environment and track them
- Deliver samples: Deliver the blood samples to a lab or blood bank for testing
- Maintain supplies: Keep work areas and equipment clean and sanitary, and restock supplies
- Enter data: Enter sample information into a database or medical records
- Assist with other tasks: Help with screening tests, perform transfusions, and assist patients who have adverse reactions
- Comply with policies: Adhere to laboratory and hospital policies and procedures, and safety practices
- Attend training: Attend regular department staff meetings and in-service training
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
