Job Description
- Responsible for welding of carbon and stainless steel pipes using TIG welding machine.
- Carry out skilled TIG welding work including inspection, planning, preparation and cutting, inspection, checking/testing; to fabricate, repair, maintain and install metal item, checking/testing whilst performing the allocated tasks to meet applicabl
- will be responsible for welding and fabrication works, carry out inspections on all equipment and structures, coordinating with technicians and attend to machine breakdowns.
- Check joint preparation and tack welds before starting to weld root of pipe
- effectively operate welding units and equipment to fabricate, repair, maintain and install metal items equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures etc
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as maybe assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or similar fields.
- Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in oil and gas or pharmacy sectors;
- Have welders' diploma or/and welder certificates.
- Understand Welding Procedure Specification (WPS);
- Know correct sequence of TIG welding process;
- Be able to weld with MAG and electrode - MMA welding process when it is needed.
