Job Description
- Perform cable installation, construction, maintenance and repair works.
- Possess knowledge in all types of splicing activity, cable and safety test equipment and use of all types of cable construction equipment.
- Performs all work and handles all tools in accordance with accepted safety rules, regulations, and practices relating to the trade.
- Maintains ongoing, effective communication with direct supervisor regarding the specifics of each assignment, problems that may occur, and questions that may arise. Reports
- Responds to duty calls as soon as possible, day or night, seven days a week, to correct the problem and/or restore service.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Must have Certificates of Employment and pertinent Training Certificates to support above work experience requirements.
- Must have the ability to read FTTH (Fiber To The Home) design documents. • Must be competent in ODN & SLI Micro-FOC fusion splicing and termination to include PCP & SCP mounting among others.
- Should be keen on FOC testing using OTDR/Power Meter.
- Should be comfortable/confident with working at heights and must be fully certified.
- Should be comfortable/confident with working 60cm below live power lines.
- Should be competent in using MS Word & Excel to ensure test report preparation and its timely submission.
