Job Description
- Responsible for overseeing and managing various projects within an organization.
- Completion of tenders and ensuring job pipeline for a rolling 12-month period. Looking for business outside of standard tenders to develop the business.
- Reviewing works to ensure they met client specifications and comply with relevant government standards.
- Ensuring invoicing is up to date and clients do not exceed credit limits. This is to include appropriate breakdown of job to ensure payment backed up with QS information as necessary.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. Undertake post project reviews to ensure project pricing and employee allocation is correct for future projects.
- Utilise Microsoft Project (or equivalent) to track projects and ensure projects meet best industry standards.
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with best OH&S practices. Recruit and oversee the project managers, QS and QA responsible for delivering projects.
- Oversee the purchasing and ongoing installation and management of equipment, including regular maintenance and inventory.
- Oversee the purchase and inventory management of materials and tools • Monitoring budgets and making adjustments when necessary to meet spending goals.
- Reviewing work orders and making decisions about how long each task should take to complete.
- Scheduling employees for work and ensuring that they are trained on equipment use prior to starting their shifts.
- Maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure they are meeting project deadlines and providing high-quality materials.
- Making sure that subcontractors are performing their work in a timely manner while meeting quality standards.
- Communicating with clients throughout the project to ensure that they are satisfied with the progress being made.
- Perform any other work-related duties as may from time to time be assigned and or communicated to you by management.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
- Must have extensive Project Management experience in road and building constructions projects.
- This role typically involves a combination of leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills.
- Combination of leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of project management principles.
