Job Description
- Oversee the financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets, analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for audits, reviews, and tax filings.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP or applicable accounting standards.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and legal, to ensure alignment and efficiency in financial processes and reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, implementing changes as necessary to maintain compliance and improve financial processes.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or similar fields.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Integrity and ethical conduct in handling confidential financial information.
- Continuous learner with a commitment to professional development and staying updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards.
