Job Description
- Responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the designated kitchen area
- Check with Senior Chef / Junior Chef for the list of all daily preparations, their priority, special tasks, etc. · Ensure all the staff have been trained to empower them to the next level through ON THE JOB training.
- Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and storage specifications as set by Namariq management.
- Make sure the productions are prepared based on occupancy and there are no shortages or excesses.
- The portions, temperatures, and recipes for each serving must meet Namariq standards.
- Clean and maintain the station while preparing the food and after preparing the food.
- Responsible for food safety, hygiene, cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the designated kitchen section, walk-in coolers, and storage, as well as ensuring that all Namariq standards are followed.
- Ensure all Namariq forms and check lists are followed in the assigned sections.
- Make sure all prepared food is stored in its appropriate container and labeled with product name, production and expiry dates.
- To ensure timely preparation and final touch of all food items as per the Namariq standards.
- Make sure closing and opening policies has been followed and recorded each shift
- Responsible for all production waste and left overs in the designated section.
- Verify quality, quantity, temperature and presentation are as per set Namariq standards before sending items into the dining area to the guest
- Help in any area of the Finishing kitchen/BOH when circumstances dictate.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Bachelor’s degree (BHM)/ Diploma in Hotel Management and catering technology or accumulated years of experience as Station cook in catering services company.
- Minimum of 3 year of experience as Station Cook Bakery & Pastry or equivalent position or 5 years’ of experience as Line Cook Bakery & Pastry specialized for both bakery section and pastry line and labor camp setting and industrial catering
