Job Description
- 1. Provide primary healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness.
- 2. Collaborate with parents/caregivers on maintaining health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
- 3. Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene (proper nail and hair care, daily hygiene).
- 4. Detect health problems in early stages through regular screenings. 5. Keep track of students’ vaccination records.
- 6. Update nursery/school records of students’ medical history. Ensure the school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g., preventing communicable diseases).
- 8. Recommend referrals for paediatricians or family doctors if necessary.
- 9. Ensure compliance with national health legislation and school/nursery policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Nursing or similar fields.
Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum two years work experience of Nurse Trainee. Experience with children a plus for School/Nursery nurse position, experience in patient home care a plus for Home Care nurse position.
- Provides skilled safe, holistic and culturally competent, person-centred nursing care to patients, families, community and society, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team irrespective of healthcare settings.
- She needs to be compassionate and cool-tempered and follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently
- Conducts an individualised patient assessment, prioritising the data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within the timeframe specified by the client facility’s policies, procedures or protocols.
