Job Description
- Directs and supervises nursing activities related to patient care
- Initiates new methodologies to maintain and upgrade nursing care standards and professional practice models
- Investigates unit related incidents and reports as appropriate
- Maintains monitoring of system for requisition of supplies and equipment on unit
- Prepares and forecasts budgetary requirements for personnel, supplies and equipment’s as directed
- Develops short and long range planning for the department required
- Develops and implements unit policies and procedures and standards of nursing care
- Responds to situational opportunities and/or problems that occur in a timely manner and demonstrates the ability to maximize the opportunity or minimize the problem
- Submits monthly reports and statistics in a timely manner as directed
- Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to change as required
- Plans and monitoring Performance of Quality Improvement indicators for better quality care to patient
- Provides for appropriate unit/orientation, and in-service in coordination with in service education
- Knowledgeable and teaches staff the correct application and utilization of unit and equipment
- Documents performance and review by staff of CPR, infection control, fire and disaster plans
- May be required to work varying hours
Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Nursing or similar fields.
- Preferably with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license. Candidates applying without DHA license will need to undergo and pass Dubai Health Authority Data Flow Verification and Nurse examination
