Job Description
- The function description for the Warranty Processing Clerk is oriented to the aim of protecting the interests of customers, dealers and manufacturers in the event of a warranty claim.
- Warranty Processing Clerk must ensure by optimum deployment of the instruments of technical after-sales service that the maximum possible customer satisfaction is attained.
- He/she provides the link between the dealer and the manufacturer's technical after-sales service function.
- Assess warranty and goodwill claims, in particular where referrals to the importer are required. Implement decisions relating to correspondence transactions.
- Advise the workshop in problem cases; request repair instructions, special Service solutions or argumentation points from the importer
- Prioritise Service work according to the "Service" directive. Monitor product quality and provide regular feedback by way of complaint reports.
- Advise the importer on the efficacy of Service solutions or argumentation points.
- Cooperate with Service Advisors and Workshop Foremen with the aim of producing warranty claims which are correct and proper in terms of form and content.
- Request Service Advisors and Workshop Foremen to produce qualified complaint reports. Ensure compliance with duty of notification and other stipulations laid down in the brand warranty handbook.
- Conduct training courses in accordance with the "Service" directive. Monitor the warranty cases processed by the importer, making corrections where appropriate as per the error report.
- Agree appointments with customers and field service staff in dealing with difficult customer complaints. Where appropriate, agree scheduling with the paintshop to carry out paint repairs under warranty cover and on a goodwill basis.
- Prepare and provide support to special analyses and in-the-field surveys, such as by factory teams.
- Check the credit memos issued by the importer are complete and forward them to Accounts. This also includes arranging credit memos in goodwill cases in accordance with stipulations, where appropriate supplemented by the retention amount
- Allocate the costs of rejected warranty and goodwill claims and returned OK parts to the relevant cost centres.
- Represents the dealer and the manufacturer in dealings with the customer in the event of complaints, based on existing rules and standards.
- The Warranty Processing Clerk reports to the Service Manage
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Others or similar fields.
