- Caregivers assist individuals/patients who have difficulty performing basic day-to-day activities, for example, the elderly, disabled persons, or people suffering from chronic or mental disorders
- A Caregiver’s duties include assisting with personal care and providing companionship. They work in their patients/clients’ homes or in special care facilities.
- To fulfil the responsibilities above, the Patient Caregiver, in collaboration with nursing personnel and members of other disciplines, engages in the following activities: ▪ Provides direct patient care ▪ Coordinates nursing services with the service
