- Ensures all dishes are uniform in content, taste, presentation and established portion sizes are adhered to. Assist in reducing the overall food cost within given guidelines as well as other kitchen related expenses by controlling requisition.
- Responsible that wastage and spoilage is kept to a minimum by constantly checking all food storage and production, ensuring that daily stocks are kept at a minimum level.
- Ensure that work area is kept clean at all times
- Experience as Sushi Chef at an Asian restaurant. Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi rolling techniques. Ability to work fast and accurately. Flexibility to take on various shifts. Certificate from a culinary school is a plus.
