Job Responsibilities:
- Report to Senior Construction Manager (and the client, local authorities, and head office relevant departments as necessary) the progress, status and/or any problems of the site construction works in terms of quality, schedule, cost, safety, and environmental protections.
- Manage communication, reporting, negotiation, and coordination required to conduct the site construction works with such parties as government, administrative agency, and/or other local authorities and stakeholders.
- Report significant activities of the site construction work to JFE Engineering head office divisions and other departments concerned.
- Lead, operate, and manage the site construction organization to successfully complete the site construction works while taking responsibility for quality, schedule, cost, safety, and environmental protections of the works.
- Issue RFQ for individual construction work, local transportation, temporary facilities, locally procured equipment/materials, etc. and review estimates, and place
orders. Conduct change order adjustments resulting from the changes in the construction schedules, work volume and/or scope of works. - Prepare specifications/ procedures/ manuals for individual construction and field inspection work. Issue construction drawings. Obtain the client approval for the documents and drawings as necessary.
- Continuously monitor the construction cost and schedule including progress and contractual mile stones, and issue regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to the Project Engineer. When any differences or problems found and /or anticipated between the original plan and the current status, through discussions/ coordination with the client, JFE head office and any other relevant parties, lead the construction team to identify the cause and take necessary remedial actions.
- Continuously monitor the performance and manpower sufficiency of the construction organization, and maintain the optimum manpower allocation and its efficiency. Upon detecting any problems, take such appropriate actions as manpower reinforcement in consultation with the Construction Manager and head office divisions/departments concerned.
- By supervising the site material control manager and his group, ensure such operations as local transportation and receiving/unpacking/storage of equipment and materials , and release them to subcontractors.
Job Requirement:
- Science and Engineering Degree in Civil and Architectural Engineering, etc.
- Management skills and knowledge for Project Construction Management (Scope, Schedule, Cost, QAQC, Resource, Documentation, Risk, Information, etc.).
- Experiences as a Supervisor of Construction projects (5 years or more).
- Construction Manager of a large-scale project: Experience as Construction Manager of a small to mid-scale Construction Project (multiple times)
